This study investigates the structural and semantic differences between conceptual metaphors in Arabic and English through a contrastive analysis of abstract concepts such as anger, time, understanding, social relationships, and success or failure. It is grounded in the conceptual metaphor theory developed by Lakoff and Johnson. A parallel corpus in both languages was analyzed to explore metaphorical representations and cultural conceptualizations. The findings reveal notable structural overlaps; however, cultural differences lead to variations in focus and meaning, which can affect translation and language education. The study recommends incorporating conceptual metaphor theory into translation and language curricula to foster deeper cultural and linguistic understanding
