This article aims to analyze the role of modern teaching strategies in physical education in developing learners’ motor skills through a theoretical and analytical approach grounded in the evolution of educational thought and contemporary pedagogical trends. The study demonstrates that the transition from traditional teaching methods to modern strategies, such as cooperative learning, problem-based learning, and discovery learning, has led to a qualitative transformation in the nature of motor learning, where the learner becomes an active participant in constructing knowledge rather than a passive recipient. It further explains that motor competencies constitute a complex system involving biomechanical, cognitive, affective, and social dimensions, which requires the adoption of active and enriched learning environments that encourage experimentation, interaction, and decision-making. In addition, the article discusses the structural and practical challenges that impede the effective implementation of these strategies, including limited resources, overcrowded classes, and insufficient teacher training, while also highlighting future prospects related to the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in physical education instruction. The study concludes that modern teaching strategies represent a fundamental and effective approach to achieving sustainable and meaningful motor learning outcomes.
