Abstract

This study aimed to explore the growing role of generative artificial intelligence technologies in the stages of scientific research writing. It adopted a descriptive-analytical approach based on a focused literature review of recent studies and policies relevant to the topic. The findings indicate that these tools can enhance efficiency in some early tasks, such as organizing ideas, drafting initial texts, and language editing, thereby supporting faster completion and improved writing quality. At the same time, they raise concerns related to digital hallucination, limited reliability of some outputs, and issues of disclosure and academic originality. The study concludes that the effective use of these tools depends on responsible and critical adoption, while maintaining human oversight of scientific content. It recommends the adoption of clear disclosure policies, with full scientific and ethical responsibility remaining with the human researcher.
