Call for Papers – Issue 35

The Editorial Board of the Faculty of Languages Journal – University of Tripoli, an international peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually in June and December, with ISSN: 2790-4016, and indexed in the Libyan Electronic Journals Directory, hereby announces the opening of submissions of scientific research papers and academic studies for Issue 35.

Proposed Topics for Issue 35
  1. Language Sciences: Phonetics, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and related fields.
  2. Translation and Translation Studies.
  3. Language Teaching Methodologies.
  4. Languages and Technology, including artificial intelligence, digital education, and e-learning.
  5. Comparative Studies of Languages and Cultures.
  6. Literature and Literary Criticism: Arabic, comparative, and world literature, as well as contemporary critical studies.
  7. Cultural Studies Related to Languages.
  8. Discourse Analysis and Intercultural Communication.
  9. Language Acquisition, Bilingualism, and Multilingualism.
Publication Guidelines and Requirements
  1. Publication in the Faculty of Languages Journal is completely free of charge. No fees are imposed for manuscript submission, peer review, or publication.
  2. The journal accepts original research papers, translated articles, and abstracts/summaries of academic theses and dissertations related to languages, translation, and literature.
  3. Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  4. The manuscript must not exceed 7,000 words, including the main text, footnotes, and references, and must comply with the journal's approved publication template.
  5. All submissions are subject to double-blind peer review in accordance with established academic standards.
  6. All submissions are screened for similarity and plagiarism using iThenticate.
  7. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools is permitted up to 30% of the research content. Manuscripts in which AI-generated content exceeds 40% will be rejected.
  8. Authors must follow the APA Style for in-text citations and references.
  9. Authors must strictly adhere to the journal's approved publication template, which is available on the journal's website.
  10. Main and subheadings must not be numbered within the manuscript. Authors should follow the heading formatting specified in the journal's approved publication template.
  11. Authors should rely on recent and directly relevant references related to the subject of the research.
  12. Electronic URLs or DOIs must be included for all sources and references consulted and available online, in accordance with APA Style. Authors must ensure that all links are accurate and accessible.
  13. The research methodology must be clearly and accurately explained, including the research methods, instruments, and procedures employed.
  14. Results must be presented and analyzed in applied or empirical studies, where applicable.
  15. Each author must provide their ORCID iD, which can be obtained free of charge through the official ORCID website.
Formatting Requirements

The required font is Times New Roman, with 1.0 line spacing. The title should be in 16-point font, while the author's name, institutional affiliation, and email address should be in 8-point font.

When writing directly into the journal template, authors are advised to avoid copying and pasting text in order to preserve the required formatting.
