The Relationship Between Musculaire Strength, Aérobic Endurance (Yo-Yo Test), and Maximal Oxygen Consomption (VO2max) Among Under-20 Soccer Players
Keywords:
Muscular Strength; Yo-Yo Test; VO2max; Aerobic EnduranceAbstract
Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between muscular strength, aerobic endurance (measured via the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test), and maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) among under-20 soccer players at Al-Nasr Sports Club in Benghazi.
Methodology: The researcher employed a descriptive survey methodology. The study population consisted of 30 players, from which a purposive sample of 20 players was selected, representing 66.7% of the total population.
Statistical Analysis: Data were analyzed using the mean, median, standard deviation, skewness coefficient, Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients, and the coefficient of determination (R2)
Results: The findings revealed no significant relationship between muscular strength and either aerobic endurance or VO2max. Conversely, a strong positive correlation was observed between aerobic endurance and maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max).
