Publication policy

Editing policy
The Libyan Journal of Veterinary and Medical Sciences (Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci.) requires that the articles published within its scope be original and sound in terms of scientific content, language and structure, in accordance with applicable international standards.

Open access
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. adopts an open access policy for the content of its published scientific papers, without any restrictions or article processing charges for access and use.

Peer revision
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. follows a double anonymous peer-review policy with the manuscripts submitted for publication. Submitted manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers with expertise in the manuscript subject. The reviewers evaluate the manuscripts according to the journal's revision form, which contains the reviewer’s information in addition to a set of criteria for the evaluation process and the decision made by the reviewer. Within the revision form, the reviewers can submit their recommendations to the editorial board and the authors, sign the form, and send it back to the journal. The editorial board then communicates with the authors according to the decisions made.

Copyrights
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. reserves the copyrights for all scientific papers published within it.

Authorship policy
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. emphasizes researchers' commitment to the ethical principles and the international standards related to the integrity of scientific research, authorship, and scientific publishing. The journal works to ensure that through the forms and information required when submitting a manuscript for publication.

Self-archiving
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. makes all published articles available for the scientific community without any restrictions or fees that could prevent access. The Journal is archived using PKP PN service for long-term preservation. Authors are permitted to share and self-archive their published work for enhancing visibility and impact of their research.

Data sharing
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. is committed to promoting transparency, reproducibility, and collaboration in scientific research, and encourages researchers to share their research findings, enhancing the value of their published work and facilitating further research under Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0. This policy applies to all journal publications, including original research, review articles, and case reports. Researchers must also include the data availability status with their submitted manuscripts. If data sharing is not possible for ethical, legal or privacy reasons, researchers must provide a justification.

Plagiarism policy
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci.' publishing policy is based on scientific originality and integrity and prohibits plagiarism. All manuscripts submitted for publication are subject to an evaluation of their content in terms of the quotation percentage, which must not exceed 20%, using a plagiarism detection software.

Conflict of interest
The Libyan J. Vet. Med. Sci. emphasizes researchers' adherence to professional conduct and affirmation of any conflict of interest related to the submitted manuscripts. A ‘Conflict of interest’ statement is integrated in all articles published in the journal.
