Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Its Relation to Academic Achievement Among Children (An In-Depth Descriptive Study) in Modern Educational Theories, Mechanisms, and Strategies
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examined Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and its impact on academic achievement among children (an in-depth descriptive and analytical study). The research aimed to bridge this gap by providing a comprehensive and detailed perspective that integrates theoretical aspects with neurological and psychological mechanisms, while focusing on modern educational strategies that can enhance the academic performance of children with ADHD.
To achieve this objective, the descriptive-analytical method was employed, which seeks to describe and analyze phenomena and relationships between variables without interfering with them. The results revealed that ADHD is not merely a behavioral challenge, but rather a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that affects core cognitive functions such as attention, working memory, and executive functions, which in turn negatively influence children’s academic performance.
The study recommended conducting further research on the role of technology and artificial intelligence in supporting children with ADHD by exploring the potential of assistive technologies and digital applications.
